BRIAN EHRET
Mr. Brian Ehret is the Senior Forensic Investigator at the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office located at the regional Center for Forensic Sciences in Syracuse, New York. He has over 25 years of experience in forensic science and medicolegal death investigation. He is an adjunct faculty member at Syracuse University Forensic and National Security Sciences Institute, and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators where he is the current Board Secretary. Brian is a member of the National Association of Medical Examiners, a Fellow of the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators, and a Fellow of the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners, where he is a member of their teaching faculty. At Syracuse University, Mr. Ehret teaches Forensic Pathology and Medicolegal Death Investigation. He also lectures on local, state, national, and international levels regarding the importance of legally-defensible medicolegal death scene investigations, and the need for standardized scene procedures that should be followed, “Every Scene, Every Time,”.
