Maria Francisca C. Moreira is a Junior Researcher at LSRE - Laboratory of Separation and Reaction Engineering and LCM - Laboratory of Catalysis and Materials at the Faculty of Engineering at University of Porto (Portugal).

Her research interest relies on cutting-edge technologies for the remediation of water and wastewater and the synthesis of value-added products, covering innovative processes, mainly electrochemically-based processes, pioneering reactor designs, and new electrode materials. She heads the electrochemical research line in the LSRE-LCM’s Environment group.

She is also a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering (Elsevier). Francisca Moreira has more than 74 communications and an h-index of 21 with more than 3000 citations.
