MARCIA WALQUIRIA DE CARVALHO DEZOTTI
Márcia Dezotti has a bachelor's degree (1985), master's degree (1989) and doctorate (1992) in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a post-doctorate at North Carolina State University.
She is currently a Full Professor in the Chemical Engineering Program at COPPE at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in the area of Chemical Engineering, working mainly on the following topics: effluent water treatment, conventional and advanced biological processes, Advanced Oxidative Processes, treatment of industrial and recalcitrant effluents, reuse of effluents, removal of micropollutants (drugs and hormones), toxicity and estrogenic activity.
She was elected Full Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences in 2020 and Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries in 2022. She is Founding Member of the COPPE Women Support Group and she is a Member of the Commission "Equity, Diversity and Inclusion" of FAPERJ.
