PhD (Chemical Engineering) from University of Waterloo (Canada), 2007-2011, and postdoctoral fellow in the Electrical & Controls Integration Laboratory from General Motors (USA). Recipient of the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) obtained for outstanding research at the Ph.D. level in Ontario, Canada; and recipient of the Erasmus Mundus scholarship 2017 (European Community) in materials for energy conversion and storage, as visiting professor at “Laboratoire de Réactivité et Chimie des Solides (LRCS)” in Amiens, France. Associate professor in “Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana-Iztapalapa”, and CONACYT fellow assigned to the same institution. National system of researchers (CONACYT Mexico), level III. 125 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals (JCR/SJR). Over 3000 article citations (h-index 31). Technical responsible of 8 projects related to energy storage and wastewater treatment, two of them established at the industrial level. Reviewer and accredited monitor of CONACYT (RCEA) in different calls for projects in México; and reviewer in international calls for proposals from Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Perú. Reviewer in 26 international peer-reviewed journals (JCR/SJR) including ACS and RSC. Director of 14 Ph.D. and 22 Master graduate students.
