RENATO FALCAO DANTAS
UNIVERSIDADE DE CAMPINAS, BRAZILRenato Falcão Dantas has a degree in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Paraíba, a master’s degree in chemistry from the Federal University of Paraíba and in Chemical Engineering from the University of Barcelona and a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Barcelona (Spain).
He was a professor/researcher at the University of Barcelona (Spain) and researcher/visiting professor at several universities such as: Università Federico Secondo (Italy), Universität für Bodenkultur (Austria), City College of New York and University of Nebraska (USA), Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. He was director of the Faculty of Technology at UNICAMP and executive director of the UNICAMP Development Foundation - FUNCAMP.
He is currently associate professor at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and leader of the research group: Advanced water and effluent treatment processes, with an emphasis on ozonation and advanced oxidative processes.
The professor is the current president of the Brazilian Association of Advanced Oxidative Processes (ABPOA), a member of the International Ozone Association (IO3A), the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) and the Brazilian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (ABES).
