Chemical Engineer from the Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau (1998), a master's degree (2000), a doctorate (2005) and a post-doctorate (2007) in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). She worked as an adjunct professor at the University of the Joinville Region from February 2010 to February 2014, at the time being a permanent member of the Master's Degree in Process Engineering. From March 2014 to February 2020 she was a professor at the Department of Textile Engineering at UFSC, Campus Blumenau. She is currently a professor in the Chemical Engineering and Food Engineering department at the same university. She was sub-coordinator and is a contributing member of the Postgraduate Program in Textile Engineering at UFSC - Campus Blumenau. She is also a permanent member of the Postgraduate Program in Chemical Engineering at that university. She is a 1D Research Productivity Fellow - CA EQ and Editor of Separation and Purification Technology. She works in the area of industrial processes in chemical engineering with an emphasis on separation processes.
