Biosketch:

Prof. Dr. Daniel Kendoff, currently works as clinical director of the orthopaedic and trauma department at Helios Klinikum Berlin Buch. Previously he was in attending position of orthopaedic reconstructive surgery at the  Helios Endo Klinik, Hamburg in Germany for 5 years after he fulfilled a previous total joint fellowship at Endo Klinik and a fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery, New York. After finishing his residency in the orthopedic trauma Department at Hannover, Germany and various sub-internships in at NYU, Baylor College, and HSS, he started his fellowship at Special Surgery in 2007. His clinical focus is completely total knee and hip replacement, including all revisions. Besides his clinical work, he became the director of research at Endo Klinik in 2010. He has currently published more than 190 peer reviewed articles, written 2 own books, 9 book chapters and gained his "venia legendi" for full professorship in 2012. The International Society of CAS (CAOS International) elected him as the fellow of 2006-7. His research included clinical as well a numerous basic science studies in the field of orthopedics, trauma and reconstructive surgery. He has been an active instructor of the AO, OTA, AAOS, ORS and given lectures as example the USA, China, Central Amerika, India, China, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, all over Europe and Germany.
