ALEJANDRA BAENA
Professor and Researcher at the Antonio Nariño University since 2016. Ph.D. in Physics, Master in Applied Physics and Forensic Sciences, Criminal Investigation and Forensic Sciences Specialist, and Physical Engineer. She currently coordinates the forensic physics line and is in charge of the self-assessment and accreditation processes at the UAN Faculty of Sciences national level. She has promoted institutional processes to promote research, extension, training, and social projection in the field of forensic sciences through the creation of specialized lines within the Modeling and Scientific Computing groups, as well as in the Fundamental and Applied Materials Research Group (GIFAM) through leadership in the development of projects with National and International cooperation that constitute alliances between La University, the State, Society, and the Private sector on issues of judicial and social interest with emphasis on the application of computational techniques and innovative technologies for road safety studies, improvement of reconstruction and investigation of traffic accidents, detection of clandestine graves, Forensic Geosciences and advances in forensic intelligence. Currently promotes forensic science through seedbed of students and promotes the social appropriation of knowledge with victims of armed conflict. She is part of the coordinating team of the Unit for the Construction of Peace UAN, which has the purpose of disseminating, integrating, strengthening, and promoting knowledge, science, technology, and innovation to contribute to the comprehensive system of true justice, reparation and non-repetition of the armed conflict. She is also an active member of the University Network.
Metropolitana de Bogotá RUMBO within the smart cities project supports the coordination as a substitute in the Ibero-American Network of Forensic Investigators RIIF.
