JORGE ARTURO JIMENEZ PAJARO
Medical surgeon from the Nacional University of Colombia, Specialist in Human Rights and IHL from the Externado University of Colombia, Specialist in Public Management from the Superior School of Public Administration, and with a Diploma in Medical Auditing from the School of Business Administration.
He has been a professor in the area of Legal Medicine at the San Martín, Military, Javeriana, and Nacional Universities of Colombia; in the Forensic area at the Externado University of Colombia, and from 2005 to 2009, a Trainer in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law at the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
International lecturer on the subject of Forensic Clinic Assessments in Torture in San Salvador, La Paz, and Managua, and Forensic Assessments for Public Defender Lawyers in Managua; nationally, he has been involved in the Implementation of the Istanbul Protocol through workshops on Torture Investigation for experts and prosecutors in Colombia.
Experienced in forensic service management in the areas of clinic, pathology, and laboratories. Associated with the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences for 25 years, where he has worked as a forensic expert in the Clinical area, Director of the Cundinamarca and Tolima Sections, Regional Director for the East and Bogotá; and Acting Deputy Director of Forensic Services. Currently, he serves as the Acting Director General of the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of Colombia.
