JUNHANG DONG
Junhang Dong is the Ohio Eminent Scholar and Rieveschl Chair in Membrane Science
and Technology in College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at University of
Cincinnati (UC). He joined UC in 2006, and prior to that, he was an associate professor
at New Mexico Tech (2001 – 06). His research focuses on developing inorganic and
organic-inorganic composite membranes for sustainable energy production and
environmental management. His current research projects involve ion-exchange
membranes for redox flow batteries and alkaline water electrolyzers, ion-sieving
membranes for wastewater treatment and critical material recovery, gas separation
membranes for greenhouse gas capture and utilization, and membrane material-
enabled optical chemical sensors. He has about 100 referred publications and 3 U.S.
patents.
