JOE DA COSTA
Joe da Costa, an Emeritus Professor at The University of Queensland, Australia, and former ARC
Future Fellow, founded the FIM2Lab. With over 35 years of experience in industrial, consultancy,
and academic roles across Australia, Portugal, Brazil, and England, Joe has led R&D projects in
clean energy production. His work spans collaborations with industry leaders like Johnson
Matthey and Saudi Aramco, as well as contributions to international initiatives such as the
European Framework Seven program. Joe's expertise extends to advising government bodies,
including a secondment at the International Energy Agency Greenhouse Programme and
consultancy for the Queensland Government. Currently, he serves as an Invited Professor at
NOVA School of Science and Technology.
