ARIAN NIJMEIJER
Arian Nijmeijer holds a PhD in Inorganic Material Science from the University
of Twente. He is Senior Principal Science Expert Membrane Technology as well
as Principal Engineer Process Development in Shell with more than 20 years of
experience in membrane technology for energy efficient separations in the
energy sector.
In his role, Arian coordinates membrane research, development and
deployment in the field of membrane reactors, gas and liquid separations,
using the full range of membrane materials such as ceramic, polymeric and
metal membranes. One of his focus areas is the development of membrane
reactors for hydrogen production and chemical conversions.
Since November 2006, Arian is leading the Inorganic Membranes group of the
University of Twente as a 0.2 FTE full professor.
